Many times we all encounter things that are embarrassing to us, let alone pregnant moms-to-be. I’m sure some moms-to-be have some embarrassing issues they’d like to address during their pregnancies, but have nowhere to turn to.
1. Pregnancy farts
Among the physiological reactions of pregnancy, one of the most disturbing is farting. Pregnant women fart more than the average person, and it can be very loud. Doctors believe this is because pregnant women’s abdominal cavity is under pressure and food takes longer to pass through the gastrointestinal tract, producing more gas. Solution: Watch your diet, eat less beans and cauliflower, and don’t drink carbonated drinks or fruit juices with gas. If possible, take fewer and more frequent meals and the situation will improve greatly.
2. Pregnancy vomiting
The term “morning sickness” is not very accurate, because pregnant women don’t usually vomit on time. They are particularly embarrassed because the time between feeling nauseous and throwing up is very short and often occurs in very inappropriate situations. Solution: Taking a little vitamin with each evening meal is usually effective in relieving vomiting. If that doesn’t work, ask your doctor to prescribe a little low-iron, which has the effect of preventing vomiting.
3. Wet your shoes and socks
When walking, pregnant women sometimes find that urine “automatically” flows down their legs. This is because the uterus is getting bigger and compressing the bladder, making it unable to store as much urine. Drinking a lot of water at night can also lead to many nighttime wake-ups and even bedwetting. Solution: You have to exercise more before you get pregnant to build up the strength of your bladder, or you can use sanitary napkins to solve the problem.

4. Unpleasant smelling crotch
This is very private and usually hard for others to notice. Doctors believe that hormonal changes in the pregnant woman’s body and the increase in fetal weight are responsible for this problem. Solution: Changing your underwear frequently and keeping your pubic area dry can solve this problem. Don’t use any body deodorants; they have the potential to cause problems in other areas.
5. Memory loss
Picking up the phone to look for someone, dialing and forgetting who to call; walking into the supermarket to buy something, but not remembering what to buy are common forgetfulness messes for pregnant women. Rather than saying that this is the hormonal changes during pregnancy, it is more the result of pregnancy stress, because they tend to worry about their children, themselves, the future and other issues, which can lead to pregnant women’s brains are often not enough. The solution: accept these facts, tell yourself that you don’t want to do it all at once, that everything is under control, and that with less stress, memory tends to come back.
6. Bad temper
Many people know not to argue with pregnant women, and during pregnancy, even the gentlest of women can become difficult to get along with. There are two reasons why this happens: one is that hormonal changes during pregnancy make people irritable and aggressive; the other is that some pregnant women have depression and have a hard time tolerating even the slightest emotional stimulus. The solution: If you are always irritated with things around you and suddenly burst into tears, don’t ignore these situations and talk to your doctor; sometimes it’s not just hormones that cause this, but emotional issues as well.
