On the afternoon of the 14th, Miriam Yeung brought her new Mandarin album Readyornot to Guangzhou for a book signing, singing her new songs live to the delight of the hundreds of fans who showed up early to support her.
Kicking off in Guangzhou on July 30
After three years, Miriam Yeung is back with her own solo album. The album is the first album she signed to China Star after eight years, and it coincides with a new stage in her life, a new beginning for her. “The album is made for women, and the main thing is to send some positive messages. Like some recent TVB programs have been discussing the various problems of Hong Kong women. 30-year-old women will have different pressures from all sides, but they can be happy by their own efforts, age, relationships, work, there is no hindrance if they work hard.”
In addition, she said she will hold a solo concert in Guangzhou on July 30, and the new album’s song of the same name, “Readyornot,” will be the first song to open the concert. “This song was originally written specifically for the concert, just to tell everyone that I’m back.” On the movie front, the script for “Chi Ming and Chun Jiao 2” is also in the works, “taking over the first film as a whole, but we still have to wait for the script to come out to find out. You know, Pang Ho Cheung has been changing the script all day long.” Miriam Yeung laughs.
Mother-in-law often makes soup and waits for me to come home
When asked by a reporter about her relationship with her mother-in-law soon after her wedding, Miriam Yeung admitted that they were polite at first, but found it better to communicate naturally as time went on. “The company’s main business is to provide a wide range of services to the public. Slowly everyone’s temperament are naturally flowing, what is directly speaking, so instead of communicating better.” Asking her mother-in-law if she has a problem with this, Miriam Yeung laughs: “She didn’t say anything, we live together now, so we can take care of each other and it makes my life less stressful. She will make soup and wait for me to come home, and she will also call my parents for a tea date, which is the thing that makes me happiest and feel very lucky.”
Confessing that she wants to have a baby, she has been carrying a private nurse and Chinese herbs with her during promotions, taking tonic and toning her body at all times. The company’s main goal is to provide the best possible service to its customers.
