When compared to how women perceive men, men’s requirements for women are much more “externalized” and “extensive”. However, experts tell us that the following 6 types of temptations are in fact the most irresistible to men.
1. Honesty
Interestingly, scientists’ brain scans of people who have just fallen in love show that the top lover quality is actually honesty. A survey of nearly 1,000 young people ranging in age from 18 to 24 conducted by Stephen at Cornell University found that volunteers were particularly interested in the honesty of their potential partners, with the next most important characteristics after honesty being looks, family responsibility, wealth, and status.
2. Sense of humor
Researchers found that once lovers complete a long run of love, similarities in personality make their relationship stronger. In addition, a sense of humor helps maintain a long-lasting relationship. Eric, of McMaster University in Canada, said the importance of humor varies for men and women, with women favoring men who make them laugh often and men preferring women who are amused by their jokes.
3. Sexy chin
Women with short chins and men with strong eyebrows are most popular. Men and women with these features are more attractive because they signal reproductive health, Tehosire said. Estrogen restricts the growth of bones in a woman’s lower face and chin, making them relatively short, while the hormone also controls the growth of a woman’s eyebrows, making them more prominent. Men are influenced by testosterone, which contributes to a good lower face, chin, and thick eyebrows.
4. Body symmetry
That is, the left half of the body should be exactly the same as the right half, with well-proportioned limbs. Randi Thoxil has been working on symmetry research for the past 15 years. He records the faces and bodies of different people into a computer with a scanner to determine the symmetry ratio.
The findings show that both sexes find the opposite sex with good physical symmetry more attractive. Tehosir explained that this is a genetic advantage, indicating that a person has good survivability and also that she/he is very physically healthy. In contrast, men look at women in a slightly different way, placing more importance on the symmetry of a woman’s face than her body.
5. Waist-to-hip ratio
Singer, a psychologist at the University of Texas, studied the waist-to-hip ratio of people and found that women with a waist-to-hip ratio of 0.7 (indicating that the waist is much thinner than the hips) were the most desirable to men. Scientists have analyzed the body shapes of magazine models and Miss America contestants and found that most of these women have a waist-to-hip ratio of 0.7 or less.
For women, men with a waist-to-hip ratio of 0.8 to 1.0 are the most attractive, and men with broad shoulders are more sexually arousing to women. Studies also show that people in the ideal waist-to-hip ratio range are less likely to suffer from cardiovascular, cancer, diabetes and other diseases, regardless of their weight. And women who fall within this range also have less difficulty getting pregnant.
6. Body odor
A study by German scientist Manfred Milinsky and others found that people instinctively use their noses in choosing a partner, judging whether the other person is right for them based on their scent.
Scientists explain that this reliance on smell to aid in identifying a sweetheart is linked to the body’s immune tissue. When people are close to each other, the odors emitted by their bodies are perceived by each other and determine whether they cause discomfort in the body’s tissues and organs.
In general, this discrimination of each other’s body odor is not influenced by external odors, which means that although the appropriate use of perfume may help to enhance each other’s good feelings, it will not play a decisive role.
