A study by the British psychologist Morris found an interesting phenomenon: “The further away from the brain the part of the human body is, the more credible it is.” The face is the closest and most dishonest to the brain center. When we are with others, we always pay the most attention to their faces; and we know that others pay attention to us in the same way. So people are lying through their brows and smiles.
Looking further down the body, the hand is in the lower middle of the body and is moderately honest, and people have used it more or less to tell lies. But the foot is far from the brain, and the vast majority of people don’t care about this part of the body, so it is much more honest than the face or hands. It constitutes a unique psychological leak for people – foot language.
Like all the other signals of human language, the habitual movements of the foot have a language of their own, and there are many adjectives describing foot language in our rich linguistic vocabulary. Rather than describing the lightness, heaviness, slowness, urgency, steadiness, composure, chaos, etc., of the footsteps, these adjectives describe the inner state of a person’s being either stable or unbalanced; tranquil or impatient; peaceful or disoriented.
When people are in different moods, they walk in different ways; when people have different temperaments, they walk in different ways. The first time I saw the film, I was able to see it. “The first is to make sure that the person’s feet are in the right place.
In addition to reflecting a person’s mood, foot language can also reflect the quality of a person’s character.
If a woman is in a hurry, her footsteps are heavy and chaotic, it can be concluded that the girl must be a cheerful, straightforward and quick-witted person who does not keep an eye on the situation; on the contrary, she looks big and thick, but she walks carefully.
The psychological pointers of people are often revealed by their footsteps. The first time a person sits down and stretches his feet, it shows that he harbors a sense of defiant confrontation. If a woman is bold enough to stub her toe, it indicates that they are confident enough in their own appearance and that she harbors a strong desire to show herself. When people stand, their feet are often directed in the direction or thing that the subject is thinking about or pursuing.
For example, there are three men standing together, and it appears that they are concentrating on conversation, and no one is paying attention to the pretty girl standing on the side, but in fact this is not the case, and each has a foot directed toward her. In other words, everyone was paying attention to her. Their preoccupation was only a false mask, and the true feelings were concealed, but their foot talk gave away their respective secrets.
Editor’s note: Although people’s footsteps vary from place to place and from thing to thing, each person has his or her own fixed foot language. The first thing we can do is to explain the phenomenon that you can tell nine out of ten familiar people by the sound of their footsteps, whether sharp or light or heavy or steady, without using them.
