With short hair, fair skin and delicate features, it would be hard to believe that this quiet, pretty girl is a private bodyguard if she wasn’t wearing the “Tianjiao Special Security” work uniform.
In the middle of this year, the first private bodyguard training camp in China was announced. 45 students received certificates of completion after 28 days of militarized devil training, VIP protection courses at the Israel International Security Academy, special driving, FBI mind reading, special reconnaissance techniques, counter-terrorism training courses, fighting techniques, business etiquette and communication. What is the devil training that a private bodyguard training camp goes through? What are the most basic qualities needed to become a private bodyguard? The reporter recently interviewed a number of students who attended the private bodyguard training camp and Mr. Chen Yongqing, the founder of the private bodyguard training camp in China, to reveal the behind-the-scenes story of the private bodyguard training camp.

Newly minted bodyguard transformed in 28 days
25-year-old Xiaofan, one of the latest batch of 45 bodyguard training camp members, has just passed the private bodyguard training camp test and is now an outstanding private bodyguard, and has been left behind by Tianjiao Special Security Company as the assistant to the chairman.
“28 days, absolutely devilish training, almost gave up halfway through, beyond quite a few limits of the human body.”
The company’s main goal is to provide a platform for the development of a new generation of private security professionals.
Xiaofan said, as he thought, they are purely military management, nearly 50 students are divided into seven groups, each group of seven people and at least one female student. Every morning at 5:50 a.m., they wake up on time, 10 minutes later on time to the training ground assembly, from 6 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. is the morning class, running, playing military boxing, every other day will go to the beach training physical fitness. At 9:00 a.m., breakfast is served with eggs, milk, buns, etc., which is very generous. This is followed by 10 minutes of housekeeping.
The morning training subjects begin at 9:15 a.m. The training includes one-strike combat, fighting, wrestling and more. Lunch was served at 1:30 p.m. “Because of the very high volume of exercise, lunch was very generous, six dishes and one soup, only one vegetarian dish, the rest was meat.”
There is a lunch break from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. The afternoon training session from 3 p.m. to 6:50 p.m. focuses on some of the skills such as knife and gun grabs, and the instructor also teaches shooting positions. “Our country’s law does not allow private ownership of firearms, so there is no actual shooting training program.” Xiaofan said.
“I’m especially tired every day, and I can fall asleep when I fall into bed, but at night when I go to sleep, there’s suddenly an emergency assembly.” The average amount of sleep per day is actually four or five hours, said Xiaofan, who lost 10 kilograms during the 28-day training period.

Beautiful bodyguard with a guaranteed monthly salary of 5,000 yuan
With short hair, fair skin and delicate features, it would be hard to believe that this quiet girl is a private security guard if she wasn’t wearing the “Tianjiao Special Security” uniform.
The girl has short hair, fair skin and delicate features. The company’s main business is to provide a wide range of products and services to its customers.
Xiaoran said she went to health school and majored in pharmacy, which doesn’t seem to have anything to do with bodyguards.
The company’s main goal is to provide a platform for the development of a new generation of private security companies.
Xiaoran immediately searched the Internet and found the publicity page of “Tianjiao Special Security”, and saw that the company was recruiting the first batch of private bodyguard training camp students, and Xiaoran immediately put in her resume.
“I was excited for a long time when I got the call for the interview.” The company’s main goal is to provide the best possible service to its customers. But the mother expressed support, “Young can experience more life.” With her mother’s support, Xiaoran put on her luggage and came to Beijing alone.
There were more than 70 people in the first camp, and only five of them were girls. The training site was chosen in a closed area of Beijing, the size of a soccer field. “It was as tough as getting off the ground.” Xiaoran said that because it was hard and especially tiring, there were times when she wanted to give up, but thinking of her mother’s support she persevered.
Today she is an excellent female personal bodyguard, with skills that are in no way below those of the average male bodyguard. After deductions for insurance, Xiaoran’s regular monthly salary is around $5,000, and if she goes out on a mission, she takes home even more.
So far, one of the longest assignments Xiaoran has carried out was for three months, responsible for protecting a female boss of a private company. This female boss is in her 30s and is a strong woman. She is in dispute with others over the company’s shareholding, and because she is worried about her safety, the female boss approached the company to ask for a personal bodyguard. The company considered all aspects and felt that Ran was best suited for the task.
For the next three months, Xiaoran followed this female boss to and from work every day, even sleeping together. “Our task is to absolutely avoid dangerous situations.”
The company’s main business is to provide a wide range of services and services to the public.
Tiehan’s bodyguard has lost two fingers since then
Two years ago, Tianjiao Special Security took on an assignment where a boss in real estate needed to hire a private bodyguard because he was worried about his personal safety. The company sent Xiao Wang, who is highly qualified in business, to carry out this task.
Near the end of the year, the real estate owner needed to attend a large dinner party and insisted on driving his luxury Mercedes-Benz car to the hotel. “The Mercedes is too eye-catching and too big a target, can we get a different car?” Xiao Wang suggested, but the boss didn’t agree.
Before the dinner started, Xiao Wang went to the hotel twice to check the topography of the hotel and parking lot on the ground, and found no suspicious people.
After the dinner, Xiao Wang escorted the boss just to the front of the Mercedes, suddenly surrounded by more than a hundred axe-wielding strangers rushed out. The company’s main business is to provide a wide range of services and services to the public.
Then a middle-aged man rushed over and demanded to talk to the real estate owner.
The man tried to block the crowd with his arm, and after a few back and forth, an axe was heavily chopped on the car door, and the blade of the axe landed right on the two fingers of Wang’s left hand, and the index and middle fingers of Wang’s left hand were cut off on the spot. The man with the axe was stunned, half a day did not slow down. But Xiaowang still did not flinch, using his body to protect the boss behind him.
“More than a hundred people present were stunned and possibly moved by Xiao Wang’s actions.” Chen Yongqing said, more than a hundred people saw the action of Xiao Wang sacrificed his body to protect the owner, have left the scene. Subsequently, Xiaowang only to the hospital for treatment, the results of the delay is too long, Xiaowang’s fingers can no longer be connected.
“This is the most serious accident since the establishment of the company, and later the real estate owner was moved to help the company do a lot of treatment and aftercare work for Xiao Wang.” Chen Yongqing said that although Xiao Wang is missing two fingers, today he is still a great personal bodyguard and is currently out on assignment.

Training program
Most subversive personality: instructor slapping
“Stand up, halt!” The coach’s voice just fell, suddenly a “pop” sound, a slap to a cadet’s face, in front of many students, as a cadet can not resist, not to mention can not lose temper, because this is a training subject. “I don’t even know what happened, it knocked me out.” Xiaofan said, as the saying goes, “expose people not to expose shortcomings, hit people not to hit the face”, this instructor suddenly slapped him to feel a most subversive training subject. When the slap to the face of the moment, a sense of humiliation arises, want to resist, but still held back. Because he knew it was a training subject after all.
The founder of the private bodyguard training camp, Chen Yongqing, said the training is mainly to train the mindset of the students. When a private bodyguard is out on a mission, such as acting as an escort for a celebrity, it is common for fans to rush and slap him, but the private bodyguard’s duty is to learn to endure, because the bodyguard only has his VIP (boss) in his eyes and is responsible for protecting the VIP.
The most painful part of the training was the 800 pounds of logs
Xiaofan said the most impressive and painful part of the training was the 800 pounds of logs that they carried in groups every other day, with seven people in a group carrying 800 pounds of logs from the training camp to the beach. The whole process requires that the logs cannot be dropped on the ground, otherwise the group’s task is considered a failure.
“Seven people carry an 800-pound log because everyone is different heights, and there is one female trainee in each group.” Xiaofan said the process of lifting the log was very painful, at least a hundred pounds on each person’s shoulders, and it also required teamwork, with several layers of skin falling off the shoulders. “Midway almost gave up, but fortunately persevered.” Xiaofan said happily.
Chen Yongqing said the training program to carry the log is mainly to train the students’ willpower and the ability to work together as a team, because when you are out on a mission, sometimes the task is very difficult, and if you encounter superhuman difficulties, you must learn to overcome them as a personal bodyguard, and also have the ability to work well as a team.
Dialogue head
The 28-year-old Chen Yongqing was once a special forces soldier who worked in the bodyguard industry after his career change, but when he found out that bodyguards were just a synonym for “fighters,” he decided to leave and even developed a desire to change the status quo of the bodyguard industry. In 2008, with the support of his friends, he started his own bodyguard company, Tianjiao Special Security, in Beijing. Today, he has introduced the training subjects of Israel’s National Security Academy into the country to start a private bodyguard training camp, and currently, the second batch of 45 private bodyguards have completed their training.
Chen Yongqing: The real bodyguard relies on intelligence
Reporter: What are the necessary qualities for a good private bodyguard?
Chen Yongqing (hereinafter referred to as “Chen”): In people’s impression, bodyguards are simply very capable of fighting, but in the true sense of the word, force is just the foundation, not very important, if the other party strikes, it means the mission has failed. The real private bodyguard VIP defense needs to rely on intelligence, keen observation, will know people, know how to read minds, can find the potential danger and timely stop and dispose of, will be dangerous hidden danger elimination.
Note: I heard that this time the bodyguard training camp also has to learn about etiquette and law, etc.?
Chen: Etiquette is very important when you are a private bodyguard. Many bodyguard companies in China currently think that it is cool for bodyguards to wear suits and sunglasses, which is actually a misunderstanding of bodyguards. In terms of etiquette, the company has been strengthening, for example, when the bodyguard goes on a mission, it is generally required to wear white gloves to show respect for people. Learning about the law is to master the boundaries of self-defense during a bodyguard’s mission.
Note: Do any of the company’s private bodyguards currently know any foreign languages?
Chen: There is no international business yet, but we are in the process of training, and we expect to have private bodyguards who know multiple foreign languages in the near future.
The demand for female bodyguards is increasing
Note: You have a lot of female personal bodyguards in your company, do you seem to have a special interest in female personal bodyguards?
Chen: It is also a trend to train female personal bodyguards. The female personal bodyguards can appear in many forms, such as secretaries and assistants of the bosses, and are more concealed, which is increasingly preferred by many entrepreneurs. For example, among the existing entrepreneurs and tycoons, 30% of them are women, and female entrepreneurs are more likely to choose female private bodyguards. In addition, the families and one children of entrepreneurs and tycoons are absolutely vulnerable, and this is when female personal bodyguards have an even greater advantage. Female personal bodyguards can appear in the homes of tycoons in the guise of domestic employees, nannies, escorts, etc.
Note: How many female personal bodyguards do you have in your company now?
Chen: There are about 20 in total, excluding some who are handling the internal affairs of the company.
Everyone can be a bodyguard
Note: I found out that some of the personal bodyguards in this training camp are fresh graduates, can ordinary people become personal bodyguards?
Chen: In this camp, veterans and retired athletes make up about 70% of the camp, and college graduates make up about 30%. For ordinary people, as long as they are physically fit and have some hard-working spirit, they can also become qualified personal bodyguards after a series of training.
Note: Is the training amazing?
Chen: All the subjects of this private bodyguard training camp are combined with the world’s special forces training. 28 days of devil training, compared with the special forces training, only slightly less intense training. The training is divided into three phases: transcendence, truth-seeking and debugging exercises. Currently, the camp has partnered with the Israeli National Security Academy, and some of the best training subjects will be updated at any time.
Note: Is there a fee to sign up for the camp?
Chen: The fee is more than 10,000 yuan per person, because room and board, coaching fees for all subjects, etc. are a significant expense, and overall it is not profitable.
Note: What happens to the students after the training is over?
Chen: We respect the individual’s choice, and of course the company will provide employment opportunities. After the training camp, about one-third of them will leave and choose to be self-employed, another one-third will stay in the company as personal bodyguards, and the last one-third will also choose to stay in the company as assistant instructors or staff in the investment department, etc.
Note: Private bodyguard work is very dangerous, what weapons do the company’s bodyguards usually wear to defend themselves?
Chen: China’s law prohibits individuals from carrying guns and controlled knives, so private bodyguards generally carry only two things: a mirror and a pen. The purpose of carrying a mirror is to expand one’s line of sight, for example, to check if a car is planted with a bomb, etc.; carrying a pen can be used as a weapon in some cases, in addition to taking notes.
Bodyguards wearing sunglasses is a sign of unprofessionalism
Note: In movies and TV shows, bodyguards wear sunglasses and trench coats or suits.
Chen: A bodyguard wearing sunglasses is a sign of unprofessionalism. As a bodyguard, you must maximize the utilization of your eyes, but also do not allow blind spots in your vision, and if you wear sunglasses indoors it will definitely affect your vision. If there is a dangerous person around, the bodyguard will definitely perceive the moment of eye contact. If you wear sunglasses, you will not achieve this effect. The company’s policy is that the bodyguards of the Tianjiao Special Security do not wear sunglasses when they go out on missions.
