A female bank employee in Germany faces 15 years in prison after she robbed the bank where she worked to pay for a breast augmentation procedure, the Daily Mail reported on Jan. 4.
The woman, Mandy Lorenz, is 23 years old. Lorenz was obsessed with breast augmentation and wanted to increase her bust from an A-cup to more than a B or C-cup, but she didn’t have enough money to pay for the procedure. To do so, she planned to rob the bank where she worked.
Documents presented in Arnsberg District Court show that Lorenz recruited three men in May 2011 to rob a bank in her home city of Vail at gunpoint. At the time of the robbery, only Lorenz and an intern were on duty at the bank. Lorenz gave the robbers a code word, and with her help, the robbers, armed with air guns and knives, grabbed 95,000 euros (about R770,000) in cash.
After the robbery Lorenz told police what happened to her, and then she contacted a plastic surgeon to arrange a breast augmentation. But police found suspicion in Lorenz’s fabricated story and eventually arrested her and her accomplices. Lorenz could face 15 years in prison.
