In emotional relationships, abuse doesn’t just happen physically; emotional abuse is often more damaging to women. There will always be a type of man who wants to control you, spy on you, and interfere with your freedom of movement. To stay away from such abusers, you first need to learn to recognize the signs of emotional abuse.
1. It sounds great, but it’s never the case! When a man just wants to be around you every day regardless of his hobbies and friends, it’s a clear sign – your relationship is taking a turn in the wrong direction. You have absolutely no time for yourself, and this man wants to control you.
2. He’s like a director, setting all kinds of rules
He won’t let You go out with your friends, but you can hang out with your buddies yourself. He even thinks your friends are a bad influence on you, and he hates your best friend.
3. He isolates you from your circle
He makes you lose touch with family and friends out of touch. It seems like the whole world revolves around him. He has no control over your social circle.
4. He interferes with your freedom
You have to report to him wherever you go and ask what you’re doing. Report back to him and ask for details like what you do and who you are with. If you are found to be hiding it, you get angry. You feel mentally fatigued from having to constantly explain your behavior.
5. He punishes you with indifference
An emotionally sadistic like man will punish you by not responding to any of your calls or messages when he is angry, and by not telling you why he is angry.
6. He hurts your feelings with accusations
“Stupid”, “fat”, “ugly” …… are insulting words that should never be in a relationship. This man uses lowering your self-esteem as a way to make himself feel safe.
7. He’s often jealous
When you go out, he doesn’t let you look at other men. Especially when you’re dressed sexy, it stirs up his jealousy. That’s how abusers behave.
8. He’s addicted to something
Not all emotional abusers have irrational dependencies, but some do become extraordinarily addicted to something and don’t know how to stop.
9. He brings you a sense of fear
Healthy romantic relationships can bring support and security to a person. Your significant other should make you feel comfortable and unafraid to be yourself. But if a man is always threatening and intimidating and brings you a sense of fear, you should reevaluate whether the relationship is necessary to survive.
10. He lowers your self-esteem
An ideal partner should be able to inflate your self-esteem and make you feel so beautiful about yourself. However, an abuser makes you begin to doubt your own merits, lowering your sense of self-worth and self-esteem.
11. He treats you like an object

12. The relationship is a roller coaster ride
If you don’t know what the relationship can expect from you, then it is a sign of unhealthiness. A good emotional relationship should be stable, not up and down and a roller coaster ride. This can cause you a lot of stress and hardship.
13. Physical Abuse
Mental Abuse and Physical Abuse exist simultaneously for the abuser, and once he hits you, there will be a next time. Don’t hope that he will change and forgive him, it will only cause you more harm.
